Well, I know Saturn since my childhood days when I was in school. Though it was just a shadow for me when I was a child but now it has become more like a friend when I came to know its purpose. You know why? So here is the answer:

We all know Saturn is the darkest planet and has been tagged as the old and the traditional one in Vedic Astrology. It is also the planet of service. Moreover, it is the planet of hard work, Struggles, delays, it teaches us the lessons and show us the right path. Now whom do you think is the Guru? Saturn, yes Saturn is the teacher.

It is the ruler of 10^th & 11^th house in Kalpurush Horoscopes and the signs owned by Saturn are Capricorn and Aquarius.

Why 10^th house –it is the house of karmas, your deeds and Saturn like those who do Karmas with Discipline and honesty, in the more organized way.

Why 11^th house –  It is the house of gains, the results you get from your karmas (10^th house). It will either punish or reward you for your deeds.

My Experience with Saturn

I am a Virgo ascendant and my Saturn is in Vishakha Nakshatra (lord is Jupiter) placed in 3^rd house being the lord of 5th and 6^th house. Jupiter placed in 5^th house.

My Saturn Mahadasha started when I was in school. Being the lord 5^th house and placed in 3^rd house (the house of education, intelligence and memory). I couldn’t do much well in my academics, it took time to me to grasp some subjects. Got admission in one of the topmost school but it was strict, disciplined and much more organized and the punishments were also part of our academics. Yes, I got all Saturn Qualities in my school days.

The quality of 3^rd house came into picture hard work, much more efforts required to complete my studies, much more interaction or communication was required with my teachers and friends. But yes when later in life when Saturn transit over the moon, what we call as saadesaati, the responsibility, efforts and hard work were still there in some other part of life but it blessed me with beautiful marriage and a daughter. It gave me wealth and a job too. The maximum people I met and became my helping hands was during saadesaati, I guess what, the subject which I never used to understand, I am now teaching in one of the NGO and look here I am even writing on my favorite subject  (the 3^rd house quality)

Result of Saturn in my Life (Conclusion)

Saturn is not only the taker it is also the giver. It will make you realize that Nothing you can achieve being in the wrong path. It teaches you the difference between right and wrong .It will give you everything but with lot of delays and hurdles. And remember, it will give you everything permanent in your life but it wants you to be disciplined, honest and hardworking

So it is the most loyal planet and this is why it is important. A person is lucky enough if he/she has Saturn Mahadasha in his /her lifetime.
